Winnie Adarene Wilson, 83, passed away on May 28, 2026.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas with interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 5th, 2026, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Burnet.
Winnie was born on July 22, 1942, to Harvey and Froney Bird in Burnet, Texas. She married the love of her life, Joe, and together they raised two daughters, Cindy and Lavon. Winnie was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Trimmier before moving to Marble Falls. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and hunting and will be remembered most of all as a hardworking, loving homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ann McClaskey, Betty Hill, and Shirley Maude Bird; brothers, Blackston Bird and Reuben Granville Bird.
Winnie is survived by her husband, Joe D. Wilson; daughters, Cindy Wilson (John Casaccio), and Lavon Webb (Mark Webb); grandchildren, Gerald Johnson and wife Jessica, Kristi Gouge, Morgan Tongish and Leah Hanson, Chelsea and Kelsye Spratlen; sister, Billie Jo Amidon.
