Wayne Curd Obituary

Wayne Eugene Curd, 44, of Marble Falls, TX, a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and forever a bull rider, passed away tragically on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

We will gather to give him one last ride and celebrate the life of Wayne Curd on Saturday, October 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church,

100 Lillian Dean Buchanan Dam, Texas 78609.

Wayne was born May 28, 1981 to the late Carla Dee Curd and Wayne Wright in Stephenville, TX. He graduated Marble Falls High School and attended Tarleton State University. He played football in high school and used the lessons learned there to own his own business and continue to grow throughout his life.

Wayne was one of the strongest and stubborn man you could ever meet in spirit, in will, and in heart. A true rodeo cowboy, and passionate bull rider.  He lived for the thrill of the arena and challenge of the ride, carrying the grit, determination and fearlessness of the sport into every part of his life. In his younger years, he was a gifted athlete who loved football, and throughout his life he carried the determination and energy of his prime still riding bulls. Those who knew Wayne admired his strength, his courage, and his unforgettable generosity. He used his amazing grit to always get back up in life again and again. Every home felt like home, he had the ability to walk through any door and head straight to the fridge.

Though Wayne was passionate about bull riding and football, nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter, Khloe. She was his pride and joy, his greatest accomplishment. Their love for each other was endless, and it will carry on as Khloe’s greatest treasure from her father.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Khloe Layne Curd and wife, Kirsten Lilly Curd, his father, Wayne Eugene Wright and his brother, Heath Alan Wright and wife Kimberly, nieces Blakely and Brynlee, his Aunt Atha Murk and husband Allen, and 1 dog, Max and many friends.

Wayne is proceeded in death by his mother Carla Curd, brother Daniel Paul Wright.

One Last bucking for Wayne Curd: Wayne touched so many lives, and we welcome all who would like to share stories and memories. In honor of his cowboy bull riding spirit, boots and western wear are welcome.
