Travis was an avid animal lover and enjoyed watching the deer from his nursing home window.  He loved his church and was an avid reader of his Bible.  Travis was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he had held positions as Head Deacon and Elder.  He loved people and was always concerned about their salvation.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Lester and Mildred Ruth Lester; brothers, Alton Lester, Leo Lester, and Vernon Lester; sisters, Opal Hightower, and Lynda Harned.

Travis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha; daughters, Deborah and husband Rob, Janet and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Christian and Thomas Hines, Christopher and wife Mallory, and Stephanie Whisenhunt; great grandchildren who adored him, Danielle, Asher, Natalie, and Gracie; brother, Fred Lester and wife Lynda; sister, Nelda Lawson; sister-in-laws, Reta Whitley, and Virginia Lester; brother-in-law, Harold Dayton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Travis had a contagious smile and was loved by all who knew him.
