Shelley Key Davis Obituary
Our beloved daughter, Shelley Kay Davis, passed at the age of 41. She was born and raised in Pearland, TX until she was 12, when the family moved to Horseshoe Bay, TX. She graduated from Marble Falls High School in 2003, attended Camp Champions every summer from age 7, and later worked as a camp counselor there. Shelley loved being on the Starlettes dance team and continued to enjoy time and fun with her friends from high school. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved music of all genres. She was sweet, smart, had an amazing memory for song lyrics, and loved to compete and laugh hysterically with her sister, Lara, who does not have Shelley’s lyrical memory and just makes up her own lyrics. She loved all things Elvis, Longhorn football, the Houston Texans, and the Houston Astros. She had a great sense of humor, a vast knowledge of all things, excelled at playing trivia, games, word puzzles, listening to podcasts, watching movies, and reading books of all kinds. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and her delicious deviled eggs and famous banana pudding will be missed.
She leaves behind her parents, Jimmy and Nancy Davis, sister Lara Davis, nephews Luke and Jake Vogelpohl, uncle Bill Davis, cousins Jay and Carl Bradley, Dylan and Wyatt Davis, her Chiweenie dog, Leyla, and many other friends and family whom she cherished more than they probably know.
In spirit, she joins her grandmothers Helen (Gaga) Bradley and Joyce (Grandy) Davis, grandfathers Harry Bradley and Jimmy Davis, Sr., uncle Jerry Bradley, aunt Cindy Davis, and cousin Brody Fleming.
Take solace that she is now free from her struggles and pain and know that she will rest in peace.
A celebration of her life will be planned in the future.
