Ryan Allen Obituary

Ryan Jeffrey Allen, 36, was raised and lived most of his life in Magna, Utah and passed away on April 22, 2022 in Burnet, Texas where he and his family had recently moved.

Ryan was  born on January 2, 1986 to Jeffrey Edwin Allen and Jody Lynne (Larson) Allen in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Ryan grew up in the good old days when you stayed outside until the street lights came on, running amuck with his neighborhood best friends. He played baseball for Hunter/Cyprus and was an awesome pitcher. His family loved cheering him on and traveling to watch him play in his Allstar baseball tournaments.

Ryan worked as a cook and Autumn (Calvert) worked as a waitress at Wingers Restaurant in West Valley City, Utah. This is where their love story first started cooking! They dated for a short time before Autumn had to face the decision to stay with Ryan, the man she had fallen in love with or move back to her home state of Texas. She chose to stay in Utah and the love story continued. Ryan and Autumn were married on August 16, 2007 in Lake Tahoe, NV.  Shortly after being married Ryan and Autumn moved back to Texas to start their newly wed adventure.

Things really got exciting when they welcomed their first born son Cooper Allen on November 24, 2009. They moved back to Magna, Utah with their Texas made pride and joy a few years later August, 2010. They were overjoyed to welcome their second son, Jase Allen, on April 5, 2013, Ryan’s look-alike, aka mini me.

Ryan worked a variety of jobs and spent most of his career, 11 years, at North Park Transportation. He was promoted from the dock, to driver, to salesman due to his strong work ethic and dedication. He made many friends there including his best friend, Brian Lloyd.

When not working you would find Ryan coaching Cooper in baseball, helping Jase build something, working in his garage, renovating with his wife, fishing, duck hunting, smoking some amazing meat and/or  dancing with friends with family til the morning hours.

Ryan was welcomed into the heavens with open arms by his mother, Jody, and was also preceded in death by his Grandmother Pauline Larson, and Grandfathers - Albert Larson, Jay Allen and Kim Mortensen, Uncles - Randy, Craig and Brent Larson.  Ryan is survived by his wife Autumn, his sons Copper and Jase, his father Jeffrey, his sisters Trisha Beagley and Ashley (Casey) Allen, his mother and father in-law Sharon and Tommy Johnson, his brother-in-laws Rowdy (Crissy) Calvert, Trae Calvert, Jeremy Johnson, nephews - Lucas Beagley, Azrael Wasden, and Cinch Calvert, Connor Calvert, Porter Calvert, nieces - Avery Wasden and River Calvert.

Ryan was a one of a kind man who has left us too soon and will be deeply missed. It’s been said over and over again since his passing “Ryan was the type of friend that was always there when you needed him, he was loyal and you could depend on him no matter what.”

We will lean on him to keep being there for us from the other side. Keep shining love on your boys, Autumn and all of us, RyGuy!
