Rudolph Charles Fincke, Jr (Rudy) of Burnet, Texas at the age of 70, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023.  Rudy was born on June 3, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas to Rudolph Charles Fincke and Philomena (Fannie) Mello Fincke.

Rudy went to high school at Uvalde High School.  He drag raced in Eagle Pass and won many trophies.  He also ran the drive-in theatre in Uvalde, Texas in the mid-70s. He moved to Burnet in 1977 and became a mechanic and worked for Merkle Williams Chevrolet.  In the mid-80s he decided to go into business for himself and opened Rudy’s Diesel and Electric.  In the early 2000s he made a change to get out of the mechanic business and started landscaping and irrigation.  He started his own landscaping and irrigation business, Sunset Landscaping and Irrigation, in 2005.

He was known by many and had many friends over the years.  He was soft-spoken and took pride in what he did.  He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with his family and making memories.  His favorite things to do were shoot pool, pitch washers, go on family camping trips, and bowling.

Rudy is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray M. Garza and Tony M. Garza, as well as his parents, Rudolph Charles Fincke and Philomena (Fannie) Mello Fincke.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah K, Fincke; sister, Linda Boucher Christensen and husband Carl Christensen; daughters, Shanell Parker and husband Chet Parker, Staci Villegas, Kellie Roberts, Kimberly Fincke, Shannon Delbello, Melissa Meurer and husband Jeremy Meurer, Tonya Ng and husband Alex Ng, and son, Allen Petty.  He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2023, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet with burial to follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Jenkins Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St Burnet, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Shepperd, Wesley Shepperd, Ryan Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Brandon Ng, and Charles Albarran.
