Roy Mason Rowney

Roy Mason Rowney passed away on May 1, 2021 at home with his family.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home, 109 N.Main St, Burnet, Texas.

Mason is survived by his daughter in law Sandy Hearne and boyfriend Luis Davila of Burnet,Tx ,his grandson’s Doyle McDonnel and wife Jessica of Austin,Tx, Jessie McDonnel of Austin, Tx, James Deckert of Missouri, granddaughters-Brandi Haggerton and husband Charlie of Burnet,Tx, and Jennifer Richardson and husband Ben of Burnet,Tx. Great-grandkids, Kaytlin Haggerton, Jordan Deckert, Piper Richardson, Peyton Richardson, Parker Richardson,Ethan James Richardson, Nicole McDonnel, Cheyanne McDonnel. Great-great grandson ,Sawyer lee Williamson. He loved and cherish his family and would do just about anything for them.

Mason was proceeded in death by his loving wife Mildred Rowney, his son and Pride and Joy, Roy James Childress( Rowney), his great-granddaughters, Piper and Parker Richardson and many more beloved friend’s and family.

Mason was a Jack of all trades. He worked hard his whole life and accomplished so many different things. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in The Korean War to later be Honorably Discharged from service due to injury. He fought hard and loved harder and he will be missed dearly. We love you Papa Mason.
