Robert Eugene Samford

Robert Eugene Samford, 78, passed away on May 24, 2023.

A Memorial Service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.

Robert was born on October 12, 1944, to Cecil and Mildred Samford in Houston, Texas.  He graduated Midland High School and Attended Abilene Christian College until he enlisted with the U. S. Army and the National Guard to serve from 1965 until 1973.  Robert was a religious man, strong in his faith and read his Bible daily.  In his younger years, he was very athletic participating in football and baseball.  He loved Texas Longhorn Sports, gardening and most of all, his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Cecil Samford.

Robert is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Samford; children, Robby Samford, Denise Esper, and Vicki Davidson and her husband, Galen; brothers, Gary Samford and his wife, Sharon, and George Samford and his wife Mona; grandchildren, Elizabeth Esper, Taylor Mullins, Colton Davidson, Ella Davidson, and Jordan Samford.
