Robert Klaus, beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2022.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2022, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
Robert spent over fifty years in the roofing business, having learned the trade from his father. He and his brother, James, then started a roofing business together. An avid gardener, Robert always had a way with growing vegetables and would gladly share with friends and family.
He always put a lot of love and pride into whatever task he set upon. Over the years he enjoyed raising chickens, goats, cows, and rabbits. His granddaughter, Bella, would help him with his garden and rabbits. When he wasn’t outside with his garden or tending to his livestock, he relished spending time with his family. Such were the times spent fishing with his children and grandson, Davin. It was important to Robert that he share with them what he knew and was eager to tell them how to do things the “right” way.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Lorene Edna Junek Klaus; brother, Henry Albert Klaus, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Klaus Escamilla and her husband David; son, Richard Bob Klaus; grandchildren, Jessica Klaus, Jade Klaus, Jenni Klaus, Davin Robert Escamilla, and Isabella Sophia Escamilla; mother of his children, Dolores Martinez; brother, John James Klaus; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Lora Taylor; six nieces and two nephews.
Arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home Burnet, Texas.
