Ricky Duane Taylor, 67, passed away on December 3, 2020.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Cemetery, Bertram, TX, officiated by Chad Gunter.

Rick was born on October 12, 1953 in Taylor, Texas to Thomas Duane Taylor and Eunice Lee Riggs Taylor.
He attended the University of Texas and worked for the State of Texas MHMR & Advanced Microdevices.
Rick enjoyed Football especially the University of Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. He also loved baseball , his favorite team was the New York Yankees of which was a fan from the early age of 10. He was voracious reader of science fiction, fantasy, and detective books. His favorites being J.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, Frank Herbert’s Dune, all of Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn and Chee books, James Lee Burke’s Dave Robicheaux novels and Robert Jordan Wheel of Time series.
Rick loved music! He overflowed his streaming services with what he loved. It was all the categories with some of his favorites being Van Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Delbert McClinton, Rage Against the Machine, Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia.
One of his life long loves was fishing. It didn’t matter if it was in a creek, river, lake or ocean. He was always excited and ready to go. Rick had a dry sense of humor finding great fun in practical jokes. His passion was talking to people, curious to learn about their lives, likes, dislikes, culture, country and people. He was a good person with a big loving heart. Rick lived life on his own terms and will be missed.
He is preceded in death by: Father, Thomas Duane Taylor; Mother, Eunice Lee Riggs Taylor; Grand parents, Louis B. and May Taylor and Rufus and Eunice Bee Riggs.
Survivors are his Sister, Rhonda Laks; Brother-in-law, Earl Laks; Nephew, Kevin Donalson as well as numerous cousins and friends.
