He was a well-respected and sought after diesel mechanic.  In the later years he was self-employed.  Over the years His family has heard it said by his friends that if they only knew a small portion of things that he had probably forgotten, they would be very educated people.

Ray loved to fish and hunt, which he passed on to his grandson along with some of his mechanical skills. He was a man of few words, so when he did speak, everyone listened. Ray was the best provider for his family and is leaving behind big shoes to fill. His children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends will miss him dearly. As was mentioned he was a very simple man who loved his family and friends unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by his wife JoBell Haile; his parents, Raymond and Olga Haile and stepson, Danny Moon as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
