Rae Dailey Obituary

Rae Hallmark Dailey was born January 26, 1927 in Pontotoc, Tx just before midnight and her twin sister.  She passed quietly on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in her daughter’s home in Bertram, Tx.

Funeral Services are planned for Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home with burial to follow at South San Gabriel Cemetery, Bertram, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home.

Rae lived the majority of her life in Burnet County, attending Oatmeal High School and finally residing in Burnet, Tx where she raised her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Monte and Nancy Hallmark; husband, Wilburn (Bill) Dailey; daughters, Mary Hamilton and Brenda Allen; and grandson, Michael Hamilton.  Also proceeding her in death were her siblings; Cecil Hallmark, Opal Wommack, Faye Anderson, and Margaret Bell. 

Rae is survived by her son, John Landtroop of Carlsbad, Ca and daughter and husband, Jody and Ronnie Floyd of Bertram, Tx.  Nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.   

Rae was a member of the Church of Christ where she enjoyed her women's bible study.  She also volunteered as a pink lady at the Burnet Hospital for many years.  Rae enjoyed cooking, sewing, puzzles, reading, and cheating at cards and dominoes.  Above all else she absolutely loved watching all of her grandchildren compete in various sports and activities.
