Platt "Bud" LaComb, 67, passed away on October 25, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at the Hines Chapel Cemetery at 21912 US 281 Lampasas, Texas 76550 on 11/9/2024 at 10:00AM.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at the Blazing Star Lodge #413 at 319 Ave G, Marble Falls, TX 78654 on 11/9/2025 at 2:00PM.
Bud was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Platt and Emma Mae LaComb on June 18, 1957. He grew up in a military family and eventually settled in New York, with his grandparents. He graduated from Roscoe High School in 1975. Bud then traveled to Texas, where he attended TSTI in Waco, for Market Management. He married his wife, Debbie, in 1990. Bud worked as a market manager for H-E-B and retired after 32 years.
Bud was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed putting out jug lines, checking his game cameras, going to Evant, trips to Vegas and Louisiana, and spending time with family and his dog, Charles. His Bud also worked processing deer for over 30 years.
Bud is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie LaComb of Marble Falls, his son Cody LaComb and his wife Katie and grandchildren Lake William and Liddy Anne of Granite Shoals, Texas, his brother Mike LaComb and his wife Lisa of Evant, Texas, his brother Brian LaComb and his wife Brenda of Stephenville, Texas, sister-n-law Deb LaComb of Las Vegas, Nevada and Uncle Rene LaComb and his wife Mary Lue of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Platt LaComb and Emma Mae Barber, and his brother Rene LaComb.
