Nancy Ruth Lane

Nancy Ruth Lane, 86, passed away on April 23, 2025.

A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.

Nancy was born on February 10, 1939, in Austin, Texas to Howard and Bessie Adare.  She graduated from Leander High School following attending some college.  Nancy worked for a the Texas Department of Safety as a secretary in the Crime Unit then moved to the Round Rock ISD where she worked as manager of food service for more than 25 years.  She married Rex Lane and together they served faithfully at the Leander First Baptist Church and Union Hall Baptist Church.  She was a servant at heart and loved to give her time to serving others. 

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Lane Sr.; her son, Rex Lane Jr., as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Landry and her husband Neal, Sheryl Carpenter and her husband Arthur; grandchildren, Benjamin Carpenter and his wife Elizabeth, Tyler Carpenter and his fiancé Maia, Dylan Carpenter and his wife Jade, Haley Hill and her husband Mitchell, Brooke Kindle and her husband Kody, and Carson Landry and his wife Hailey as well as seven great grandchildren.
