Melba Boyd Johnson of Burnet, Texas passed from this life around noon on Tuesday September 5, 2023.Visitation will be Friday September 8, 2023 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Jenkins Edgar Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 AM on September 9, 2023 at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
Melba was born on June 25, 1925, in Blanket, Texas to Irvin Robert Boyd and Neva (McKinney) Boyd. She graduated High School in Blanket, Texas and then to business school in Brownwood, Texas. In June,1946, she married William Jack Johnson who was a WWII veteran. She was a faithful member of the Oaks West Church of Christ in Burnet for 49 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her three sons and three daughters-in-law, James Edward Johnson and wife, Mary Arlene; William Larry Johnson and wife, Bonnie; and John Boyd Johnson and wife, Cindy.
Also, surviving are: six grandchildren: Christine Cano, Andrea Ayers, Benjamin Johnson, Jennifer Pierdolla, Jeremy Johnson, Hunter Johnson and, two step grandchildren Shannon and Shane and several great-grandchildren.
