Louis Lamar Long, 72 years old, passed away on 11/13/2021 surround by his loved ones.
Louis was born on 10/31/1949 in Helena, Arkansas to Wilburn Warren and Ruby Inez (Berry) Long. At a young age, his family moved to Rock Falls, Illinois. He graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1968. He met his wife, Nancy, while in High School and they were married on June 8, 1968. In 1982, they moved to Texas and decided to make it their home. At a young age, Louis developed a love for music. He loved to play his guitar and sing to anyone and everyone. He loved making music with his friends. He started playing music in a band with his friends in high school and continued playing his guitar and singing in a band until the last days of his life. You could find him at Poodie’s Roadhouse in Spicewood every Tuesday with his band, the Troubadillos. He would tell you that, “It’s going to be a: Totally Terrific Troubadillic Tropical Traumatic Tripped Out Tasty Trapezoidal Thoroughly Therapeutic Tumultuous Tremendous Twostepping Tmachalada Tequila and Taco Tuesday.”
Louis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy; children: Melissa (James), Jennifer (Ricky), Jeffrey, and Louis, Jr.; grandchildren: Jessica, Breydon, Ashlee, Kayci, Amanda, Samantha, Tyler, and Mason; and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Walt and Clyde and his sisters, Wilma and Nadine. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; and infant brother, Cecil.
A Memorial Service will be held on December 4th at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls, 901 La Ventana Drive, Marble Falls, Texas 78654
