Louis Insall Obituary

On May 29, 2026, the world lost a steady, gentle soul when Louis Insall passed away peacefully at the age of 80. Born on Easter Sunday in Leander, Texas, Louis entered the world at 5:13 p.m., the son of William Herbert and Emily Ruth Spencer Insall. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, his brother Henry, his granddaughter Darian Martinez, and his beloved wife, Martha.

Louis grew up in Bertram, Texas, a place that shaped him and a place he, in turn, helped shape. His life was rooted in faith, service, and community. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Bertram, he taught Sunday School, served on committees, and quietly lived out the values he believed in. His faith was not loud, but it was deep, steady, and unmistakable.

He was a man of the land; respected among farmers and ranchers for his honesty, hard work, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. His membership in the Farm Bureau reflected his lifelong commitment to the agricultural community he loved.

Louis began working at PEC at age 23 and built a long, respected career marked by reliability and excellence. But his greatest pride was always his family. He and Martha “Marty” Insall shared a lifetime of love and partnership, creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and generosity.

Louis leaves behind his sister, Mary Ruth Insall McFarland, and brother-in-law, Jack McFarland; his daughters, Ginger Garcia and her husband, Luis Garcia, Jr., and Lara Gunn and her husband, Jeffery Gunn; and his grandchildren, Sienna and Ronin Gunn, and Miguel and Luis Garcia III, who lit up his world.

Louis will be remembered for his quiet strength, his gentle humor, his unwavering faith, and the way he loved; steadily, deeply, and without condition. His legacy lives on in the fields he walked, the church he served, and the family he adored.
