Linda Gayle Westerfield

Linda Gayle Westerfield, 75, passed away on August 24, 2021. 

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Burnet, TX with Pastor Charles Waugh officiating. 

Linda was born on February 14, 1946 to Charlie D. and Marion L. Thomas in Longview, Texas.   

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Burnet, and loved spending time with family.  She was also an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie D. Thomas and Marion Thomas Dunn Hester; husband, Nicholas L. Westerfield; daughter, Rebecca L. Phelix; brother, William F. Hester. 

Linda is survived by her daughter, Gretchen M. Jones and her husband Michael R. Jones; son, James B. Ivey, Jr.; grandchildren, Devin W. Phelix, Alexandria N. Phelix, Cameron S. Phelix, Sidney R. Ivey, and Jenna C. Ivey; great grandchildren, Nathaniel Phelix and Azriel Phelix; sister-in-law Connie Hester; Connie’s daughter and family, Janci Goforth and husband Brian Goforth, Hallie McKenzie, Braeden McKenzie, and Garrett Goforth. 

The family request in Linda’s memory, donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Burnet. 

Following the memorial service, family, friends, and attendees are invited to gather for refreshments in the church fellowship room.
