Leon Vernon Richter

Leon Vernon Richter, age 73 passed away peacefully on May 8 surrounded by his loved ones. He’s a devoted husband, loving father and a cherished friend to many.

Born and raised in Beeville Texas. He attended Catholic school as a young boy and graduated from A.C. Jones high school. Leon briefly attended Southwest Texas University before joining the National Guard and working full-time to support his young family.

Life handed Leon more than his fair share of monumental obstacles to overcome in pursuit of inner peace and happiness, Leon was known for accomplishing whatever he put his mind to and came out triumphant in the end. Which allowed him to enjoy his last couple of decades with his lifelong love Miss Ellen Sue, traveling together all over the country

stopping at all the casinos.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue; sister, Bernice; his son Chris, his daughters, Lisa, Stephanie and Robin, his grandchildren, Mary, CJ, Emily, Elizabeth, Patrick, Brittney, Craig, and Mark, and his great grandchildren Jack, Gracie, Amelia, Maddie, Hutton, Kenzlee, Asher, Maverick.

His kind heart, wisdom and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Jenkins Funeral Home in Burnet Texas at 2PM on May 11, 2024.
