Larry Roy Patterson, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away on June 15th, 2024 at the age of 76, in Spicewood, Texas peacefully, surrounded by family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church located at 1803 FM 1431 Marble Falls, TX 78654.
Larry was born on August 19th, 1947 in Brownwood, Texas to Robert William Patterson and Glenna Butler Patterson. Larry was the oldest of six children: Tommy, Bobby, Kelly, Barry, Vickie, and Perry.
Larry's life was marked by love for his family and dedication to his country. After attending the University of Texas, he bravely served in the Navy in Vietnam. After 33 years, Larry retired from his career as a plumber. His commitment to hard work and service left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Patterson, mother, father, and brothers, Tommy and Barry. Larry is survived by his children Greg Patterson (Emily), Brian Patterson (Katrina), Shannon Patterson Brown (Andre), grandchildren, Domenic (Megan), Taevin (Macy), Jace, Reaghan, Logan, Jordan, Tristan, Siobhan (Jonathan), Rhiannon “Eli”; and great-grandson Beau Ross Brown.
Larry's legacy extends far beyond the professional realm. In his spare time – which he cherished dearly – he found solace in gardening, knot work, and coaching baseball and fast-pitched softball during earlier days. His passion for sports continued throughout the years as he took joy in watching his grandchildren excel on the field.
His absence leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Larry will be remembered not only for his unwavering strength but also for the kindness that radiated from within him.
The impact of Larry's presence will continue through generations as memories of laughter-filled family gatherings and heartfelt conversations linger with those whose lives he touched deeply.
As we mourn this profound loss together with heavy hearts filled with sorrow yet gratitude for having known such an extraordinary man may we find comfort knowing that Larry now rests peacefully alongside loved ones who have gone before him.

**We want to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care that our father received during his time under New Century Hospice. The compassion shown by Kelly, Shannon, and Gayle were truly remarkable and made a lasting impact on our family. We felt a sense of comfort and reassurance knowing that our father was in good hands. It was evident that each member of the staff went above and beyond to provide comfort, support, and dignity to our father in his final days.
