Lahonda Joy Roberts, 79, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026.

Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Gospel Light Church, 1115 FM 1431 Kingsland, Texas.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the church just prior to the service.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Colton Morgan, Newt Tiner, Tyler Morgan, Dylan Malm, Hayden Malm, Caleb Malm, and Brandon Malm, Jr.

Lahonda was born on April 28, 1947, in Amherst, Texas to Eargle and Berniece McCain.   She grew up in Littlefield, Texas.

In 1979 she was especially proud to have earned her GED. She spent most of her time in the food service industry for Santa Fe ISD and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. In recent years she worked as a vendor at the Fredericksburg Trade days as well as an Ice Cream Peddler in her family’s ice cream truck.  Her hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, gardening and her dogs, Lexi and Lillie Mae.  She also loved the Astros, Dallas Cowboys, playing card games, winning at slot machines and going on cruises.  Most of all, she adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandson.  She was also a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Kingsland, Texas.

Lahonda is preceded in death by her parents, Eargle Joy “EJ” McCain and Berniece Cowen McCain; brother, Jerry Mac McCain; granddaughter, Erica Morgan; and son-in-law, Darrin Nelson.

She is survived by her children, Cathy Winters (Ken), Lahonda DeNnis Tiner, and Stephanie Nelson; grandchildren, Ashley Young (Jarrod), Kristin Cottrill, Colton Morgan, Newt Tiner, Leah Tiner, and Tyler Morgan; great grandchildren, Dylan Malm, Hayden Malm, Kaylin Cottrill, Kylie Cottrill, Jenna Valdez, Caleb Malm, Brandon Malm Jr, and great great grandson, Ethan Malm; siblings, Linda Blair (Jimmy), Sherri Wright (John Gibbons), Sandra Atkison (Don) and many nieces and nephews.
