KIm Kanaly Ball Obituary

Kim Kanaly Ball, 70, of Buchanan Dam and Junction, Texas, with her husband by her side, passed away peacefully from her battle with cancer on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Ascension Seton Hospital in Burnet, Texas.

Kim was born Kim Kanaly on May 3, 1952 in Laramie, Wyoming to a good Irish Catholic family.  Her father Jack Kanaly and mother, Maisie Kanaly, both preceded her in death.

She was married to Carter A. Ball II under the Grace of God at St. Albion’s Chapel located at 12,000+ feet in the Snowy Range Mountains above Centennial, Wyoming.

Kim was an artist her entire adult life, working in numerous mediums.  Her latest being clay at her “Lakeside Studio”.  In the mid 1970’s she embarked upon a career of retail store development.  Starting with Kim’s Kountry Korner, then on to Best Rest Inc. and ending her retail career with Country Woods.  In the late 1980’s, early 1990’s she and her husband began to develop a multi city, multi state Commercial Real Estate business, that she continued to actively pursue until her death.  One of Kim’s greatest life passions was her forever striving to make those around her better people.  She loved her grandsons and enjoyed spending time with them.  A small private, family service will be held at the Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by her youngest son, Brandon Alexander Ball of Buchanan Dam, Texas and her daughter, Lindsey Kim Ball Henderson of Buchanan Dam, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carter A. Ball I of Buchanan Dam and Junction, Texas.  Her son, Carter A. Ball III of Junction, Texas. Grandson, Carter Cash Ball, and Asa Randall Ball of Junction, Texas, and Jack Alexander Henderson of Sunrise Beach, Texas; four sister, Jackie O’Hare of Centennial Colorado, Jeri Johns of Jacksonville, Florida, Kelli Spackman of York, Pennsylvania, and Kristie Mead of Worland, Wyoming, along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
