John William Prescott

John William Prescott, 91, passed away on March 27, 2021 of cancer.

John’s funeral service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 17701 Cameron Rd. Pflugerville, TX 78660 with burial to follow at Richland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.

John was born on September 15, 1929 to Dan and Lois Prescott in Ft. Green Springs, Florida.  He retired from Verizon and served as a volunteer firefighter and EMS.  John’s happiest moments come from working on his land.  He loved playing dominoes, gambling, and telling jokes and once he was told a joke, he never forgot it.  He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force and was also a long time supporter of America Today.

He will be missed by all.

John is preceded in death by his  parents; first wife, Blanche Prescott; daughter, Hazel Lois Prescott; son, Jerry Wayne Prescott.

He is survived by his loving wife, Emmalea Prescott; daughter, Johnnie Pokorny and husband Marvin of Tow, Texas; step-children, Gary Priem and wife Donna, Randall Williams, Luke Williams, both of Burnet; grandson, Clint Wade; and nephew, Hank Prescott of Florida.

Arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
