Jeanette Ann Roache Obituary
Jeanette Ann Roache, 78, of Liberty Hill, passed away peacefully into eternal life on April 29, 2026, surrounded by the love, peace, and glory of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A compassionate and gracious example of Christian faith, Jeanette was a deeply loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, “Grammy,” “G.G.,” and cherished friend. Born in San Antonio on February 14, 1948 — truly a Valentine’s Day blessing through and through — to know Jeanette was to love her.
Throughout her life and career, Jeanette Roache cultivated comprehensive expertise in campaign management, public relations, legislative analysis, inter-governmental relations and fundraising. Jeanette served in top-level staff positions for two former San Diego City Council members & a California State Legislator, as well as on White House advanced teams. Jeanette was the staff vice president and director of community affairs for the Building Industry Association of San Diego County. In 1990, Jeanette established J. Roache Enterprises, a governmental/public relations and marketing firm operating primarily in San Diego County.
Service to others was woven into every aspect of Jeanette’s life. Jeanette's involvement in programs that supported the men and women of the U.S. Military or law enforcement were a priority and second nature to her as a self-proclaimed "service brat". Jeanette's passion for the military and law enforcement was influenced by her father Raymond Lampman Sr., a Marine Corp. veteran with 30 years of service, her father-in-law Frank Giles, a Navy veteran and her beloved husband Jim Roache, an Air Force veteran & former elected San Diego County Sheriff. Jeanette also devoted many years to Soroptimist International, whose mission of empowering women and girls, through education and opportunity, deeply resonated with her compassionate spirit. Through this work, she forged bonds of friendship and camaraderie that brought immense joy to her life!
The grand finale of her professional career, in 1998, Jeanette Roache founded Technology Training Foundation of America (TTFA), a nonprofit with a mission to equip under-served schools, disadvantaged students & individuals within vital CA nonprofit organizations with much needed computer technology at a time when CA ranked 45th in the nation when it came to access for students to technology. Within the first 10 years of success, TTFA placed 18,000 refurbished computers into schools & nonprofits, meeting essential technology standard needs of the time.
Event planning and fundraising were Jeanette's forte and a routine constant with every step of her life. She had natural ease visualizing ideas and coordinating the most dynamic, spectacular events or special occasions. Her delightful sense of humor, vibrant personality, generous heart and genuine compassion earned admiration and support from ALL!
In 2016, Jeanette & Jim relocated from San Diego, CA to Liberty Hill, TX. with a desire to be closer to their precious grandchildren. While retired life was a new concept, slowing down was not in her DNA. In addition to spoiling her family with her steadfast love, she generously volunteered her time and support to Williamson County Cowboy Church, Liberty Hill Pro Rodeo, VFW Post 8587, and the Liberty Hill Garden Club. Her faith, family, and love of country remained the guiding principles of her life. Jeanette embraced the mottos “God, family, country — in that order” and “Let go, let God,” living each day with grace, strength, kindness, and a servant’s heart.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter Keri Giordino and son-in-law, Joe Giordino (Lago Vista, TX), grandson Stephen Janak and wife Kelsie (Frisco, TX), grandson James Janak (Cedar Park, TX), granddaughter, Kristin Janak and boyfriend, Max Asvestas (Austin, TX), granddaughter, Laura (Giordino) Garcia and husband, Jon (Gilbert, AZ), grandson, Andrew Giordino and wife, Savannah (Yuma, AZ), great-grandsons, Liam and Jacoby (Gilbert, AZ.), great-granddaughters, Ivory and Gretzie (Yuma, AZ), brother, Raymond Lampman, Jr. and sister-in-law, Virginia "Dee" (Escondido, CA), sister-in-law, Marilyn Lampman (Comfort TX), brother-in-law, Tim Roache (Elk Rapids.
