J Edward Eads, 84, passed away on June 7, 2020.
J Edward was born on August 19, 1935 to Robert Carroll and Susie Eads. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. For 20 years, Mr. Eads honorably served in the Austin Police Department in various capacities, but most notably as a detective specializing in missing persons. He also participated in the Austin Police Olympics winning many Gold Medals in golf. Upon retirement from the APD, J Edward and his wife Janie moved to Meadowlakes where he spent many hours on the golf course.
J is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Carroll and Susie Eads.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Eads; children, Christopher Eads (Emily), Melanie Rich (Jerry); stepsons, Keith Mills (Patti) and Scott Mills (Karen); grandchildren, Devin, Peyton, Brittany, Gabrielle, Ethan, Megan, and Alyssa; his former wife, Nawasa Eads.
