Ida Laverne Tanner, 92, passed away on March 21, 2021.
A graveside service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Texas.
Ida was born on May 10, 1928 in Austin, Texas to Oscar F. and Tina Anderson. She attended Austin High School and upon graduation attended the University of Texas. She married Bob Tanner on March 14, 1951 and celebrated nearly 64 years together. They resided at the Flying “T” Ranch in Liberty Hill. She was a homemaker and rancher, and she enjoyed raising Angus Cattle, gardening, and quilting. She was a charter member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Austin and also a member of the Women’s Lutheran Fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Tanner; Parents, Oscar and Tina Anderson; sister, Frances Caffey; brothers, Oscar F. Anderson Jr, and James L. Anderson.
She is survived by her niece and partner, Sharon Williams and Rob Damico; nephew and partner, Bobby Caffey and Karrie Schmidt; and niece, Judy Metzger and husband Jeff.
A graveside service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Liberty Hill, TX with Pastor Alfred Krebs officiating.
