Glenda Ruth Meyer

Glenda Ruth Meyer, 72, passed away on April 24, 2025.

A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., April 27, 2025, at Burnet City Cemetery, Burnet, Texas.  Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet.

Glenda was born on August 30, 1952, in Burnet, Texas to Marvin and Bernice Frazier Deitering.  She graduated from Burnet High School and attended nursing school at CTC in Killeen.  Glenda also served her country well in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.  She went on to marry Roy Meyer and together they raised 3 children.  They both served as diligently as members of Vanderveer St. Church of Christ.

Glenda loved animals, including watching birds and butterflies. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling throughout the state to eat at her favorite restaurants.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Bernice Deitering.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Roy Meyer; children, Frank Ellett and his wife Laura, Leah Meyer,  Andrew Meyer and his wife Emily; three grandchildren, Kelly, Travis, and Daniel, and four great grandchildren.
