Gary is survived by his wife Carole; sister Pat Klynstra (Don); brother-in-law, Glenn Zoerman (Judy); sister-in-law, Pam Hensley (Lu); several nieces and nephews, and his favorite dog, Rascal.

Gary was the original Git'er Done guy. He helped me build a pump and water storage building. It was taking longer than he thought it should. He would tell me, "We ain't building a piano." Afterwards he said, "If there's ever a tornado, I'm bringing the wife & dog and we're goin' stay in here."
