Freddie Nail Obituary

Freddie Nail, a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 10:00 a.m., Sunday, February 8, 2026 at his brother’s home, 110 Leo Lane Buchanan Dam, TX 78609.

Born to Glen and Kaye Nail, Freddie was the middle child of five boys. Growing up alongside his brothers shaped his strong sense of loyalty, humor, and resilience.  Like many from his generation, Freddie was raised, surrounded by a close-knit network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and family was always at the heart of his life.  A man of strong Christian faith, Freddie loved Jesus Christ with all his heart.  His life reflected kindness, humility, strength, and devotion.  He lived to serve others, encourage those around him, and share God’s love through his words and actions.  Freddie will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith.

Freddie shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Jody.  Together, they enjoyed attending concerts, making memories through music, and celebrating life side by side.  Their love was a testimony to commitment, friendship, and faith.

Above all else, Freddie treasured time with his grandchildren.  He delighted in every laugh, every story, and every moment spent making memories with them.  From racing Hot Wheels cars across the floor to cheering them on in their daily adventures, he was always present, always loving.  Freddie was a man whose life was filled with rhythm, faith, and joy.  A talented drummer, he found happiness behind his drum set. His passion for music was always evident.  Though deeply missed, his legacy of love, music, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Freddie is survived by his parents, Glen and Kaye Nail; his brothers, Brian, Robert, Steven and wife Katina, Jeff and wife Brandy Nail; his wife, Jody Staton; children, Sarah and Nick Little, Corey Staton, Taylor and Tommy Phillips; grandchildren, Kennedy and Wesley Little, Casey Sanders, and Lily Phillips.
