Joining that great band of believers who have gone before, Frances Garwood, 96, died peacefully December 4, 2022 at her home on Lake Buchanan, Texas.
She was born May 30, 1926 at Graphite Mines, Burnet County, Texas to Roy and Julia (Barnett) Parks.
Frances attended Burnet High School and continued her education in Nursing in San Antonio. Following the untimely death of her husband, she graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She enjoyed her long nursing career, genealogy studies, and was excellent at needlework. Most of all she delighted in her large loving family with whom many lively family gatherings were spent together on the banks of Lake Buchanan.
Frances is survived by her three daughters Edythe Grey Spackman and her husband James Spackman; Shirley Ann Hornfeck and her husband Bill Hornfeck; Carol Jean Garwood; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin Grey Garwood, her parents, and two brothers.
At her request, a graveside service will be held at the Cemetery in Burnet. Date to be determined.
