Dorthy Louise Kelley Everett, 86, passed away on September 30, 2022.
Funeral services are to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Primitive Baptist Church, 3024 TX-29 Burnet, Texas 78611 with burial to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Briggs, Texas. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at Jenkins Funeral Home 109 N. Main St, Burnet, Texas.
Dorthy was born on January 8, 1936, in Briggs, Texas to Horace Lee and Clara Elizabeth Kelley. She worked at Bertram Nursing home for 32 years starting as an evening cook, then food service supervisor, and lastly working with trust accounts. Dorthy loved to cook, read, and do crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very loving mother to her children and nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Lee Kelley and Clara Elizabeth Kelley, as well as her brothers and sisters, Lee Kelley, Dee Kelley, Ray Kelley, Earline Marley, and Clifteen Denson.
Dorthy is survived by her children, Donna Everett Gaston and husband Tom, Randy Everett and wife Joni, Wendell Everett and wife Becky, and Susan Everett; grandchildren, Kyle Everett, Savanna Haupt, Allison Everett, Stetson Everett, Kasandra Sanders, Bryan Everett, Cheyenne Everett, and Hanna Curlee; seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Floral tributes are much appreciated, however you may also make donations in her memory to the Herman Brown Free Library, 100 E. Washington St, Burnet, Texas 78611 as a tribute to her love of reading.
