Obituary

Dorris “Dee” Wills, 78, of Burnet, Texas gained her angel wings on September 21, 2022 as a result of a long battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Dee was born in Snyder, Texas on November 8, 1943 to Louis B. “Rass” and Lela McDonald.

Dee lived many places over the years, two of her home favorites were Bangs, Tx and Cross Plains, Tx where she had many family and friends. In 1984 Burnet, Texas became her forever home. Upon moving to Burnet, she became employed by First State Bank of Burnet and continued to work there until 1999. She then became employed by Burnet County ISF and worked there until 2002. In 2002 she went to work at FSB Central Texas until 2006. From 2006-2009 she was employed with Hill Country National Bank. In 2009 she and her husband Kenneth opened Wills Western Accents for a short while. In 2009 she returned to her “work family” of First State Bank of Burnet of which she retired from in 2015. Having worked in the public for many years, Dee developed many friendships and she valued each and every one of them.

In 1988 Dee met the love of her life Kenneth Wills. The marriage not only brought her three bonus children she also gained an enormous bonus family that she loved very dearly.  Dancing to good ole country music and going to casinos were two of her favorite things. She equally enjoyed simple family and friend gatherings laughing and cutting up as she was the queen of jokes.

The survivors left to cherish her loving memory are; husband Kenneth Wills of Burnet, Tx, brother Alvin McDonald of Ft Worth, Tx, brother Raymond McDonald and wife Perry of Plainview, Tx, daughter Deidra Holland and husband Jeff of Spicewood, Tx, son George “Bud” McCorkle, Jr and wife Angela (her daughter-in-love) of Priddy, Tx, daughter Laura Holley of Burnet, Tx., bonus children; daughter Linda Carol Monks and husband Jeff of Burnet, Tx, daughter Lisa Kay Sultemeier and husband David of Burnet, Tx, son Brandon Wills and wife Shuana of Lampasas, Tx.
