With love and gratitude for his life, we announce that Donald Wayne Heine, born on September 30, 1940, went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2026, at the age of 85, while residing in Wimberley, Texas.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was exceptionally intelligent and possessed a remarkable gift for mechanics. He had an extraordinary ability to look at a collection of old, seemingly unrelated parts and envision something entirely new, creating useful and ingenious things that most people would never imagine possible. In his final days, he discovered a love for drawing and created beautiful artwork for others to enjoy. He also enjoyed fishing and found peace on the water.

Like many, Donald faced struggles throughout his life, yet his story was ultimately one of hope and redemption. On April 28, 2026, he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. His family finds great comfort and peace in knowing that he is now with the Lord and that, through faith in Jesus Christ, they will see him again one day.

He is lovingly survived by his son, Tony Heine; his daughter, Denise Summers; his brother, James Heine; along with his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other family members and friends who will remember him with love.

Donald will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Though his earthly journey has ended, his family rejoices in the promise of eternal life and the hope of a joyful reunion in God's presence.
