DON KEITH WILKS was born on April 6, 1936, in Quemado, Texas to Karl Glyn Wilks and Cora Mae (Chandler) Wilks. He passed peacefully from this earth in the early morning hours on July 31, 2024, at home on the land he loved, a little farm, in Bertram, Texas.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Jenkins Funeral Home 109 N. Main St Burnet, Texas with burial to follow at Post Mountain Cemetery, 502 Southland Dr Burnet, Texas. Don's family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2024, at the funeral home.
Don graduated from Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, Texas in 1954. He was in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.
He married the love of his life, Lynda Ruth Thomas, in 1971. He was a Master Machinist and a member of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Highland Lakes Squadron in Burnet. Don was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and remained faithful all of this life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Glyn, David and Douglas and sister Nell. He is survived by his wife, Lynda (Thomas) Wilks, son Don Edwin Wilks, daughter Barbara Diane Wilks, son Robert Davidson, grandchildren Tiffany Wilks Carpenter, grandsons Travis Michael Wilks, Chance David Lewis, John Davidson, and Andrew Davidson, great grandchildren, Easton Wilks, Teagan Wilks and Coraline Carpenter, sister-in-law JoAn Wilks, and many cousins.
