Cynthia "Cindy" Darnell (Whitson) Lock

Cynthia “Cindy” Lock, 71, passed away on June 28, 2023. Cindy was born on January 20, 1952, to Jesse Robert Whitson and Violetta (Wolff) Whitson in Temple, Texas. She graduated from McCallum High School and attended Southwest Texas State University. She went on to teach at Bluebonnet Preschool, influencing the lives of many children who held a special place in her heart. Cindy was a dedicated servant of the Lord and came to know many close friends through Ambassadors For Christ Church and Hope Fellowship. She enjoyed telling stories to lift up her friends and family, thinking of others before herself. Cindy never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vi Whitson.

Cindy is survived by her sons, Jon Thomas Lock, Robert Nicholas Lock, and Jason Don Lock; brother Mike Whitson; and nieces Julie Whitson and Carley Whitson.

Visitation is at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas. The funeral service is at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2023 at Hope Fellowship church in Burnet, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that that donations be made in Cindy’s name to Bluebonnet Preschool / Hope Fellowship church.
