Camilla Joy (McKenzie) Teasdale

January 19, 1931 - March 12, 2026

Camilla Teasdale, 95, resided in Burnet, Texas for over 50 years. She passed peacefully on March 12, 2026, at West Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Camilla was born and grew up in Hico, TX.  She was first married to Winefred (Buddy) Woodard for 19 years and together had four children. Later, Camilla and Buford Teasdale married and lived happily together for almost 40 years.

Camilla was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Charles Teasdale, her dear parents, Hugh Lewis and Minnie Mae McKenzie, brother H.L. Jr. and wife, Lois McKenzie, stepdaughter, Betty Sue Flores, great-great granddaughter, Ella Morie Wright, and life long friend, Bobbie Gene Talbot.

Camilla is survived by her brothers, all who hold a special place in her heart, Billy and wife Corinna McKenzie, Ronald and wife Dylcia McKenzie, Carey and wife, Betty Mckenzie, her children Debbie Woodard of Burnet, Randy Woodard of Austin, Brenda (Kay) and husband Mike Thomas of West, Hugh (Buster) and wife Chris Woodard of Austin. Camilla has been blessed with grandchildren Bobby and wife Misty Wright, Christina and husband Scott Hughes, Ernie and wife Kim Woodard and Kimber Woodard, her great grandchildren Justin Johnson, Candis Wright, Robert (Trey) Wright, Raelynn Wright, Trenton, Mason, and Mallory Hughes, Brooklyn and Brinkley Woodard, and great, great grandchildren Ella, Hayden, Harper, River, Faith, Treasure, Robert, Jaxen, and Millie and also survived by many nieces, nephews close friends and loved ones.

Camilla loved her visits from family and friends and family get-togethers. She enjoyed cooking and sharing family favorites including chili beans, spiced peach preserves, and her yummy sugar cookies. She enjoyed listening to country music, reading everything, working crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite tv shows. She dedicated her life to meticulously caring for her home and beautiful flower garden, her husband Buford, and Debbie who always resided with them.

Visitation with be Monday morning, March 16 at 9:00 a.m., at Jenkins Funeral Home prior to Graveside Services at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas.

Camilla’s family wishes to thank the entire staff of West Rest Haven for the love and friendship they gave her and the excellent care they provided.
