Obituary

Bobby Ray Dewbre, 85, passed away on January 17, 2022.

Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas with burial to follow at Smithwick Cemetery.  His family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.

Military Honors will be performed by the U. S. Army, Ft Hood, Tx at Smithwick Cemetery.

Bobby was born on July 18, 1936 to J. B. and Donie Dewbre in Mortin, Texas. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army and then the U.S. Army Reserves.  He then worked and retired from Texas Granite after 25 years.  He married the love of his life, Betty and they raised 3 children together. Bobby enjoyed hunting arrowheads and could fix anything.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Donie Dewbre; sisters, June Brooks, Betty Beam, and Jeanette Fine.

Bobby is survived by his wife Betty Dewbre; children, Deanna Golson and her husband Randy of Burkett, Texas, Donie Dewbre of Cedar Park, Texas, and Kevin Dewbre and his wife Lynette of Marble Falls; grandchildren, Brett and Michelle Dewbre, Amanda and Eric Blair, Cole and Cheree Dewbre, Travis and Delany Golson, Justin and Audra Golson; brother, Billy Dewbre.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Smithwick Cemetery Association.
