Aurora Jayde Gilmour

Aurora Jayde Gilmour was born on June 16, 2004 in Austin, Texas and joined hands with Jesus and her Papa on April 23, 2023. She grew up in the Hill Country and attended First Baptist Christian School, Faith Academy, and graduated from Burnet High School in 2022. Aurora was currently a freshman at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. She loved horses and worked several years in the horse barn at Camp Peniel. Aurora enjoyed traveling and her favorite trip was to Israel where she was baptized in the Jordan river. She was a talented pianist and liked to fish.

Aurora is preceded in death by her Papa/Dad Richard Gilmour, uncles Daniel and Timothy Gilmour, her Grandpa Burle and Grammy Marilee Hawthorne, and mom Donna Fitzgerald.

Aurora is survived by her Mom/Grandma BJ Gilmour. Other family members include dad Christopher Gilmour, Kelly & Trudy Hawthorne, Wesley & Meredith Hart, West & Soleil Hawthorne, Josh & Haley Bradley, Lee & Kate Benton, Matthew & Melody Hawthorne, Payton & Savannah Hart, and Sadie Hart. Aurora also had many little cousins who loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held at Jenkins Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas on May 5th, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet, Texas. A balloon release will be held at graveside.

Pallbearers: Tyler Foster, Caden Hughes, Kelly Hawthorne, Lee Benton, Matthew Hawthorne and Payton Hart.
