Alexia Ann Rone, lovingly known as “Punkin”, passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 58, surrounded by those who loved her.

Alexia was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She loved preserving her family’s history through photographs and treasured keepsakes.  She also wrote hundreds of poems, enjoyed Little House on the Prairie, and will be remembered for her strong personality, humor, playfulness, and deep love for her family.

Alexia is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ann Lathan; father, Billy Rone; sister, Brenda Jones; and her brother, Stephen Rone.

She is survived by her sisters, Shelley Rone and Lorinda Lee Mueller; her children, Charles “Adam” Montgomery and his wife, Candice; Kyle Montgomery; Shawna Montgomery; and Katlyn Spurgeon and her husband, John Thomas “JT” Spurgeon.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Adrian Atterberry and Layla Motgomery, children of Adam and Candice; Noah Montgomery, Evangeline Montgomery, and Keaton Montgomery, children of Kyle; Naomi Pyle and Masyn Pyle, children of Shawna; and Divina Hopkins, Sebastian Spurgeon, and John “Junior” Spurgeon Jr., children of Katlyn and JT.

Alexia is also survived by nieces, Chrystal Davis and Paige Rone; her nephews, Anthony Hall and Matthew Rone; her cousins, Reagan Lathan and Jennifer Lathan; many great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous cherished friends and extended family members.

Her family will forever treasure the photographs, poetry, stories, laughter, and memories she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
