Just three days shy of his 66th birthday, Thomas J. Williams Sr. (Tom) passed from his home on earth to his eternal home with his Savior at his home in Burnet, Texas, at about 7:30 p.m.
He is survived by his mom, Caroline Williams of Carnegie, Pennsylvania; his dad, Donald J. Williams; his stepmom, Pat of Burnet, Texas; his sons, Thomas J. Williams Jr. and wife Jennifer of Burnet, Troy Williams and wife Kim of Forney, Texas, and Carl Williams of Liberty Hill; the mother of his sons, Shirley Ann Maez; his brother, Gary Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Deborah Barrick and husband Billy of Florence, Texas, Denise Williams of Bastrop, Texas, Beverly Linares and husband Tony of Carnegie, Pennsylvania; stepbrother, Warren and wife Karen Dennis; Kevin Dennis; stepsisters Cheryl and husband Mitchell Smith, and Glenda and Cody Orman; 12 grandchildren; numerous nephews; nieces; and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Vantromp.
A man with considerable qualities, a giving and forgiving heart, he was blessed with creative hands and his knowledge of the trades were truly impressive. Over the years he had shared his talents with family and friends, regardless of compensation. After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, his employment was primarily in the field of maintenance, where he received a degree in A/C and heating. His love of sports and country music was his enjoyment, along with his dog, Sadie Mae – “everything is okay – daddy loves you.”
Memorial Services for Tom will be held Friday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Cowboy Church of Burnet County, 1004 CR 252 (SH 29) Bertram, TX 78605.
