Ruby Mae Read, 86, passed away on December 31, 2019.

A funeral Service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at Jenkins Funeral Home, formerly Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St Burnet, Texas 78611.

Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas.

Ruby Mae Read was born on February 17, 1933 in Strikeax, Oklahoma and passed away on December 30, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Ruby was the first born of 4 children to Ernie & Juanita Sanders. Ruby is survived by sisters Barbara Hadden (Ed) and Roberta Devous, sons Michael Gardner (Sheryl) of Granite Shoals and Jeffery Read (Stephanie) of Colorado City, TX, and daughter Patricia Gardner (Angela) of Richardson, TX. Survived also by 4 grandchildren - Ruby, Jacob, Nathan, & Destiny & 2 great grandchildren - Truely & Tristan in addition to numerous nephews, nieces, & cousins. Preceded in death by her parents Ernie & Juanita, brother Richard, & granddaughter Michelle. Ruby loved the Texas Hill Country, Marble Falls, & Granite Shoals. It was her wish to rest in eternity overlooking the Bluebonnets, Indian Paint Brushes, and other Texas wildflowers.
