James Kenneth Demarest

James K. Demarest, of Horseshoe Bay, passed away at home on November 24th. He was 66 years old.  Jimmy was in the marine industry most of his life as a mechanic, a boat salesman and also parts salesman. In his later years, he restored cars which was his greatest joy. He liked to putter with his own boat and vehicles after retirement. His barbecued ribs were second to none. 

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lillian and John, and brother, Donald John.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of 47 years; son Nick and wife Jen of Kenwood, CA;  daughter Shelley Demarest Hoefer and husband Nic of San Antonio; son Mason and wife Amy, of Horseshoe Bay. Grandchildren are Annabelle Scout of Kenwood; Reece Rene, Ramsey James and Brighton Elizabeth of San Antonio He is greatly missed by his Doberman, Molly, also Big Bird and Little Lizard.

A Celebration of Life will be planned after the first of the year.
