Dorothy Frances Ratliff

Dorothy Frances Ratliff , “Nana”, 84, of Burnet went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2019. She passed 

into Eternity peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born to Warren and Stella Hart on July 5, 1934 in Bertram, Texas. She was married to  Simon Peter Ratliff on 

December 20, 1950. 

During her time here on Earth she was a very caring lady who loved her family and Jesus . She was always making sure her family was taking care of. She had a heart of gold . Dorothy (Dot) worked at llano nursing home for many years always caring for other people. 

Dorothy is survived by  Sister Shirley Biddy  of  Burnet, TX; six Children, Simon Anthony Ratliff of Burnet, Dorothy Patricia Mc Duff  of Buchanan Dam, Donna Kay Ratliff of New Braunfels, Sandra Dee Mace of Burnet, Pamela Yvonne Allison and Husband Rick of Burnet, Lisa Jeannette Bristow and Husband Michael of Burnet; fourteen Grandchildren. Tracie Ratliff of Nebraska, John McDuff of Marble Falls, TX, Patrick McDuff of  Montana, Ricky Holleman of New Braunfels, Tx . Christi Holleman  of New Braunfels, TX, Jessica Richards-Joeris of Mexia, TX, Birdo Lee Richards III (Bubba) of Cedar Hill, TX, Chad Richards of Burnet, TX, Brandon Richards of  Goliad , TX, Kelly Mace of Burnet, TX, Lance Kendall Allison of Burnet, TX, Dottie Floyd of Bertram, TX, Tiffany Stephens of Burnet, TX, Daniel Dilworth of  Bellville , TX , 29 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy  was preceded in Death by her parents Warren and Stella Hart, Sisters: Wilma Srubar, Margie Young . Daughter and Son-in-Law: Kathy and Birdo Lee Richards II. Son in law Johnny Mcduff.  Grandchildren: Natasha Richards, Katina Ratliff Davis, Mindy Dawn Allison and Matt Joeris. 

Pallbearers are as follows: Kelly Mace,  Ricky Holleman, Birdo Lee Richards III, Chad Richards, Brandon Richards, and Daniel Dilworth.

Services were entrusted to Edgar and Jenkins Family Funeral Home with Ryan Schmidt officiating. 

The Family would like to Thank the staff of Seton Hospice for taking such great care of Dorothy during her last week here on Earth.
