Clyde Dale Wimberly, age 79 of Burnet TX. passed away 11/20/19 at his home in Burnet, Tx.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St, Burnet, Texas. A visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., on Monday just prior to the funeral.
He will be buried at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 with Military Honors at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Clyde was born in Canyon Valley, Tx on 12/23/1939. He grew up in the Texas Panhandle and South Tx. He was the seventh of eight children born into John and Margaret Wimberly.
Clyde served eight years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. Clyde studied at Angelo State University and Texas State Technical College. He worked in the Telecommunications field for thirty five years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Marble Falls as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion.
Clyde loved and was dedicated to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Perry Lea Wimberly of 59 years of Hart Tx. Two daughters Cindy and husband Sean Hoey of Cedar Park Tx. and Kamie and husband Patrick Walker of Willow Park Tx. Clyde had 4 grandchildren Nicki Martin, Cassye Harrelson, Cayla Braun, and Josh Hoey: and 5 great grandchildren Levi Marin, Cayten Harrelson, Ryker Martin, Fowler Harrelson and Joselyn Martin.
